When searching for the best Vancouver Island fishing trips, anglers consistently choose the 8 Hour Day Trip out of Comox for its unmatched access to the prolific Salish Sea. This full-day fishing trip experience provides the full range of our local fishing areas, giving you the best chance to fish a tide change or two while targeting legendary salmon, lingcod, and Pacific cod.
The Comox Valley is globally recognized for its abundance of local Chinook salmon, which spend their entire lives migrating through these nutrient-rich coastal corridors. Unlike standard deep sea fishing trips that require hours of offshore travel, our location allows us to fish in protected waters just 10-30 minutes from our moorage, minimizing travel time and maximizing your time with lines in the water.
Your safety and success are guided by Steve Veloso, a Transport Canada certified captain with generations of local fishing knowledge. Operating professionally since 2000, Steve and his team maintain the highest safety standards, utilizing meticulously maintained vessels and top-tier equipment. As an active local commercial fisherman and Sport Fishing Advisory Board member, your guide brings an intimate understanding of the marine ecosystem, ensuring that your fishing trip is both highly productive and deeply respectful of local conservation practices.
